Former undisputed world champion Mike Tyson (50-7, 44 KOs) was asked how he would rate the punching power of popular influencer and boxer Jake Paul (11-1, 7 KOs) — and confirmed it’s indeed significant.
“I don’t remember much of it, but my body, chest, stomach, everything was really sore… Jake hits hard. My body hurt like crazy,” Tyson told FOX Sports Radio.
On November 15, the 27-year-old Jake Paul defeated the 58-year-old Mike Tyson by unanimous decision.
According to figures released by Netflix, 60 million households worldwide watched the fight live, with a peak audience of 65 million viewers. Those numbers solidified the matchup as one of the most-watched bouts of 2024.
A crowd of 72,300 fans attended the event at AT&T Stadium in Arlington — setting a new record for a boxing match held outside of Las Vegas in the United States. Ticket sales for the main event surpassed 18 million dollars, double the previous mark of 9 million set by the Saul Alvarez vs. Billy Saunders fight in 2021.
