Mike Tyson on the Light Heavyweight Champion: "I'd Be Afraid to Fight Him Too"

Former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson shared who he believes is the strongest boxer in the light heavyweight division (up to 79.4 kg). Mike named interim WBC champion, American David Benavidez (29-0, 24 KOs).

"He’s so underrated and controversial... Listen, I’d be afraid to fight him too, if I were in that division.

Nobody even has a chance against him, that’s a fact," Tyson declared.

David Benavidez became the interim champion after defeating Oleksandr Gvozdyk. It was the American’s debut in the new weight class, and he secured the victory by unanimous decision. Benavidez later announced that he would continue his career in the light heavyweight division.
