Michael Hunter on Potential Bakole Bout

American pugilist Michael Hunter opened up about a possible December 2023 face-off with Martin Bakole. He also shared his take on Bakole's recent fundraising endeavors for his title fight.

"The word from the Saudi Arabian prince is Bakole's not stepping into the ring with me for the December 23 event. He's got his eyes on a bigger, more crucial prize.

And here I was, not expecting his big move to be a GoFundMe campaign," quipped Hunter.

Hunter remains the sole fighter to have bested Bacole in the pro ring. Back in 2018, Michael clinched a 10th-round technical knockout win. Since then, Bakole has chalked up 9 victories, with only 2 going to the judges' scorecards. On December 23, 2023, Martin claimed a 4th round TKO triumph over Carlos Takam.
