Turki Alalshikh, the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority, announced that the upcoming boxing event Riyadh Season, in partnership with Golden Boy Promotions, will be broadcast free of charge.
“I just finished a phone conversation with my friend Oscar De La Hoya... We had a long discussion, and I’ve decided that the Latinos Night boxing event, part of Riyadh Season in partnership with Golden Boy, will be broadcast for free on TV and platforms worldwide.
Any network, platform, or cable service interested in this event, particularly in Mexico and South America, should contact us through Riyadh Season and Sela. We care about boxing fans, and this event will be free to watch,” wrote Turki.
It was previously reported that Riyadh Season is preparing a large-scale event with Golden Boy Promotions in November, headlined by a cruiserweight title fight (up to 90.7 kg) between Mexico’s WBA champion Gilberto Ramirez (46-1, 30 KOs) and Britain’s WBO titleholder Chris Billam-Smith (20-1, 13 KOs).
