McGuigan: "Usyk Found the Keys to Joshua"

Trainer Shane McGuigan is confident that there is no point in a potential third fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua, explaining what he believes the British fighter previously lacked.

- He only lacked one thing – confidence. He knocked out Helenius. Then he went the distance with Franklin and beat Wallin. Wallin was his former sparring partner, so he should feel confident against him.

Wallin had a good win over Gassiev. But Joshua simply destroyed him. Tyson Fury was just a little short of power against Ngannou. Anthony Joshua has that in abundance. I thought as soon as he gets this guy Ngannou, he would knock him out. And that's exactly what happened.

- Did this make you reconsider a 3rd chance for Joshua against Usyk, since he's brimming with confidence?

- No. Usyk has found the keys to him. But the debates on Tyson Fury are open, McGuigan stated.

Usyk and Joshua have fought twice. In the first bout, Oleksandr won by unanimous decision, and in the second, by split decision.
