On 27 June in Quebec City, Canada, 30-year-old Frenchman Christian Mbilli (29-0, 24 KO) faced 36-year-old Pole Maciej Sulecki (33-4, 13 KO) for the interim WBC Super Middleweight title.
The bout ended in round one. Mbilli ripped two shots to the body, then crashed an uppercut into Sulecki’s head. The referee counted, but Sulecki could not continue—TKO 1.
It was Mbilli’s first outing since his decision win over Sergiy Derevyanchenko. For Sulecki, it’s a second inside-the-distance defeat in his last three fights.
