Mayweather's Uncle Criticizes Joshua for Loss to Usyk

Renowned American coach Jeff Mayweather criticized former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua for his tactics in the fight against Oleksandr Usyk.

According to the expert, Joshua attempted to outbox Usyk, but this strategy proved to be detrimental.

"After the fight with Usyk, my perception of Joshua as a fighter changed. Usyk may be smaller, but he's a better boxer than Joshua. Nevertheless, Anthony still attempted to outbox him. To me, this approach made no sense.

Joshua clearly struggled with his boxing IQ. I'm unsure if his corner advised him to fight that way. Joshua had over nine kilograms on Usyk in terms of weight. The better approach would have been to tire him out, force him to engage. You should apply pressure to a fighter who possesses greater intelligence than you. You won't outwit someone who's only half your size," Mayweather stated in an interview on his YouTube channel.

Reminder: Joshua suffered two losses to Usyk: by unanimous decision in the first bout and by split decision in the second.
