World Boxing Council (WBC) President Mauricio Sulaiman shared his thoughts on Oleksandr Usyk's (23-0, 14 KOs) victory in the rematch against former champion Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs).
"It was a very close and competitive fight, a perfect way to cap off the year. I’m convinced Tyson Fury is still capable of achieving so much.
The first fight was incredibly dramatic. If they were to fight 10 or even 20 times, each bout would be close and intense.
Without a doubt, Usyk is one of the greatest fighters of our generation, and he is building his legacy," Sulaiman stated.
As a reminder, on December 21, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury by unanimous decision to retain his heavyweight titles.
