British promotional powerhouse Matchroom Boxing has announced the signing of 2024 Paris Olympic super heavyweight competitor Teremoana Junior (4-0, 4 KOs).
“Another Olympian joins the ranks. Super heavyweight Teremoana Junior has signed with Matchroom in partnership with Tasman Fighters and Gold Star Promotions. The Australian, with a 4-0 professional record, will continue his career on December 14 in Monte Carlo,” the official Matchroom statement reads.
Teremoana competed in two bouts during the Paris Olympics. He scored a knockout victory over Ukraine’s Dmytro Lovchynskyi in the opening round but was later defeated via judges' decision by eventual tournament champion Bakhodir Jalolov.
This signing follows Matchroom’s recent acquisition of fellow Olympian Patrick Brown and former lightweight champion George Kambosos.
