Matchroom Boxing Eyes Olympic Heavyweight Teremoana Junior

British promotional powerhouse Matchroom Boxing is reportedly close to signing Teremoana Junior, a heavyweight participant in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Matchroom head Eddie Hearn shared the news while discussing upcoming signings.

When asked about future additions, Hearn confirmed that the deal with George Kambosos isn’t the last Australian signing. He hinted at plans to ink a contract with an Olympian who has a bright future in the sport.

Teremoana Junior competed in two bouts at the Paris Olympics. He started strong with a knockout victory over Ukraine’s Dmytro Lovchynskyi but was later defeated by unanimous decision against Bakhodir Jalolov, the eventual tournament champion.
