"There Will Be a Lot of Pain." Usyk and Fury Meet at the Final Press Conference

At the final press conference before their rematch, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs) spoke about what to expect from the second encounter with reigning WBC, WBA, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs).

Tyson Fury weighed in on the rematch at the final press conference:

"I have nothing else to say except that there will be a lot of pain in this fight. You’ll see. That’s all I have to say—talk is over.

You know, before the first fight I talked a lot, joked around—but this time I’m dead serious. On Saturday night, I’m going to inflict some f***ing damage. Just watch me get the job done against this fool.”

Oleksandr Usyk responded to his opponent’s statement:

"Right now, it’s just talk—everything will be settled in the ring on December 21. There are shows, cameras right now, but on December 21 it’ll all be serious," Usyk said.

After the press conference, Usyk and Fury engaged in a 10-minute staredown that ended in a heated exchange between the two fighters.
