“Clickbait.” Malignaggi Defends Usyk After Kellerman’s Remarks

Former world champion and current boxing analyst Paul Malignaggi has responded to comments made by TV host and commentator Max Kellerman, who questioned the accomplishments of undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.

“Max Kellerman’s claim questioning Usyk’s heavyweight résumé sounded like nothing more than clickbait. Usyk is one of the contenders for the title of the greatest heavyweight of all time.

He defeated the best fighters of his generation — namely Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, both of them twice. Anyone in the history of the heavyweight division would face a serious challenge against Fury. Usyk also became an undisputed heavyweight champion twice,” Malignaggi wrote.

Kellerman previously stated that “Usyk has gradually become overrated as a heavyweight and underrated as a pound-for-pound fighter.”
