Former boxer and current analyst Paul Malignaggi commented on the collaboration between British trainer Ben Davison and former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs).
"The new Joshua with Ben Davison... I'm buying what they're selling. I really feel he poses a threat to Usyk if they fight for the third time. Can we start paying attention to Filip Hrgovic and make this a real sport? Hrgovic is being overlooked. The winners of Joshua-Hrgovic and Fury-Usyk should fight each other," said Malignaggi.
On March 8th, Anthony Joshua knocked out Francis Ngannou (0-2) in the second round. Croatian Filip Hrgovic (17-0, 14 KOs), one of Joshua's potential next opponents, is preliminarily scheduled to meet Daniel Dubois (20-2, 19 KOs) on June 1st. Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) will meet on May 18th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the undisputed heavyweight world title on the line.
