On May 18 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, WBC champion Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) and the holder of the WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO titles, Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), will compete for the status of undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division (over 90.7 kg).
Former champion and current expert Paul Malignaggi commented on the upcoming fight and chose a favorite.
"I still favor Fury because of his size. Usyk has always found a way to win and solve the puzzle because he's a very smart boxer.
But Fury is a natural heavyweight, the biggest heavyweight of the era, so he really complicates things for Usyk, who isn't a natural heavyweight.
You can't write him off, but it's hard to see Fury losing the fight; I expect to see a motivated Fury," said Malignaggi.
