Former world champion Luis Nery (35-2, 27 KOs) is set to step back into the ring for the first time since his knockout defeat to Naoya Inoue. The 30-year-old Mexican fighter has officially announced his next bout against Japan’s Kyonosuke Kameda (15-3-2, 9 KOs), who is 26 years old.
The fight will take place on February 22 in Tijuana, Mexico.
In his last outing, Nery suffered a sixth-round technical knockout loss to Inoue in a bid for the undisputed championship. Meanwhile, Kameda has been undefeated since 2021, riding an impressive streak of eight wins and one draw since his last decision loss.
