Luis Nery Attacks Inosuke Kameda at First Face-Off

Former world champion Luis Nery (35-2, 27 KOs) is set to face Japanese fighter Inosuke Kameda (15-3-2, 9 KOs) on February 22 in Tijuana, Mexico—but their first face-off ended in a brawl.

As they stared each other down, Kameda stepped toward Nery, escalating the tension. Nery immediately threw two attempted punches, forcing security to step in and separate them.

This fight marks Nery’s first appearance since his war with Naoya Inoue. In spring 2024, Nery became the first man to drop Inoue, scoring a historic knockdown in Tokyo. However, Inoue came back to stop him in the sixth round.

Kameda, on the other hand, hasn’t lost since 2021, riding an eight-fight winning streak with one draw into this showdown.
