López Sr. bets on Lomachenko against Haney

Teófimo López Sr, father and trainer of former world lightweight champion Teófimo López Jr, has spoken out about the fight between Devin Haney and Vassily Lomachenko. López Sr. is confident that the Ukrainian will win against Devin as long as he hasn’t gone soft since the fight against his son.

“I think Lomachenko will win the fight. Haney doesn't do enough to win. His reliance on the jab and maintaining distance won't suffice against Lomachenko, especially if the latter performs as he has in past fights. It's all about the corners. Do you understand what I mean? ”, López Sr. said.

In October of 2020, Teófimo López defeated Vasily Lomachenko via unanimous decision.
