Vasyl Lomachenko opened up about the unexpected reason behind his emotional breakdown following his defeat to the undisputed lightweight champion, Devin Haney.

According to Lomachenko, it was the memory of his son, who had called him several times before the fight, referring to him as a champion, that brought tears to his eyes.

"When I gave my speech, I was reminded of how my son called me multiple times today and declared me the new champion. That moment was extremely difficult for me," Lomachenko admitted during the post-fight press conference.
