Lomachenko: "I'll Never Forget the Robbery in the Fight with Haney"

Ukrainian lightweight (up to 61.2 kg) and former three-division champion Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) recalled his bout against current WBC junior welterweight champion (up to 63.5 kg) Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) for the undisputed lightweight world championship title.

"What I will never forget is my last fight against Haney. I will never forget that robbery in boxing. I don't understand: how? You can be better than your opponent, but the judges don't agree with you, but that's another story. Now it's history. After the fight, I said I would sleep very well because I understand, because I know I won that fight," said Lomachenko.

Vasiliy Lomachenko and Devin Haney faced each other in May last year. The American won by unanimous decision, which fans and experts repeatedly criticized.

Lomachenko's next fight will be against IBO lightweight champion George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) on May 12th in Perth, Australia. The vacant IBF title will be on the line.

On April 21st, Devin Haney lost to Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) by decision. Despite the loss, Devin remains the WBC champion as Ryan did not make the weight limit and was not eligible for the title.
