Lomachenko Late to Weigh-In: "I Was Sitting in My Room"

Former three-division champion Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) explained why he was late to the weigh-in against the former undisputed lightweight champion George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs).

While Kambosos was waiting, he was asked what he thought about his opponent's tardiness.

"I have nothing else to say. I am here. I am a true professional," said Kambosos.

Later, Lomachenko was asked about the reason for his delay.

- Where were you? We were waiting for you.

- Sorry, I don't know. It's too early. I was just sitting in my room waiting for 10 hours.

- Did you have any problems making weight?

- No, that's not about me, - said Lomachenko.

The fight is scheduled for May 12th in Australia. The vacant IBF and IBO lightweight world titles will be on the line.
