The former three-division champion, 36-year-old Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs), spoke about when his professional boxing career might come to an end.
"If you're talking about age in boxing and weight categories, then I agree... I'm old. But what about heavyweight? At 36, many heavyweights are just starting.
But my career is almost over, of course. How many years will it be - one, two, three, and that's it. But I think I still have some strength left.
No, you can't ask me when I'll retire because I don't know. I don't know. It's a difficult question. At this age, every fight is tough. It's hard to recover after fights.
I don't know what will happen to my body after this fight, so I can't give you an answer to this question," said Lomachenko.
Lomachenko's next fight is scheduled for May 12. His opponent for the vacant IBF lightweight title (61.2 kg) will be Australian George Kambosos. The fight will take place in Perth, Australia.
