Significant changes have emerged in the negotiations for the megafight between lightweight champions (up to 61.2 kg). According to Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, the bout between IBF and IBO titleholder Vasyl Lomachenko (18-3, 12 KOs) and WBA champion Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs) might take place in November 2024.
"This will be a fight in Vegas, at MGM or T-Mobile Arena. We will schedule it when there are no other events," Arum said.
Gervonta was designated the WBA champion after Devin Haney vacated the belt. In his first defense, Davis knocked out Frank Martin. Lomachenko won the IBF and IBO titles with a stoppage victory over George Kambosos in May.
Currently, Vasyl Lomachenko is 36 years old, and Gervonta Davis is 29.
