Linares on Canelo vs. Munguia: "60 to 40"

Former Venezuelan boxer and three-weight world champion Jorge Linares commented on the upcoming fight between the undisputed world champion in the super middleweight division (up to 76.2 kg) Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) and Jaime Munguia (43-0, 34 KOs).

"Terrific fight. I give 60 percent chance of winning to Canelo and 40 percent to Munguia. Jaime is a great and strong guy, but he doesn’t have the same potential as Canelo. Canelo has it all.

We'll see. I think this fight might go to a decision. I believe Canelo will win by decision," said Linares.

The bout between Saul Alvarez and Jaime Munguia will take place on May 4th in Las Vegas, USA.

Jorge Linares fought his last bout in October 2023 against Jack Catterall (28-1, 13 KOs) and lost by unanimous decision. After the fight, Linares decided to retire from professional boxing.
