“They owe the British public” – Lewis urges Fury and Joshua to fight

Former heavyweight world champion Lennox Lewis believes Britain’s Tyson Fury (34‑2‑1, 24 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28‑4, 25 KOs) must face each other in the ring.

“It will be terrible if they never fight one another. I think everyone is waiting for Tyson Fury versus Joshua, and I believe it’s a good match‑up for both guys.

We want to see that fight. I think they owe it to the British public,” Lewis said.

Fury and Joshua did not box in 2025: Anthony Joshua is recovering from his defeat to Daniel Dubois and subsequent elbow surgery, while Tyson Fury announced his retirement and has not fought since.
