Lennox Lewis, the last undisputed heavyweight champion of the world, has declared that he would have defeated the current WBC heavyweight world champion Tyson Fury.
"Do I believe I stand in the same row as Jack Johnson, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, and Muhammad Ali? Absolutely. I truly believe I belong on such a list.
Yes, Fury would have been a challenge for me because of his size. I've been watching him for a long time, he's a good boxer. I'm a boxing expert and don't want to tell people how I would have done it. I don’t want someone to use my information without me.
I am absolutely convinced that I would have beaten him at my peak, everyone has a flaw – you just have to find it. Holyfield was very effective when he fought me because he made me turn. This deterred me several times, but I found a way," Lewis stated.
It was during the fight against Holyfield in 1999 that Lewis became the undisputed world champion. On May 18th, Fury will meet Oleksandr Usyk, with the undisputed heavyweight world championship title at stake.
