Former undisputed world champion Lennox Lewis has named what he considers to be the best performance by former champion Anthony Joshua (28-4, 25 KOs).
In the legendary boxer's opinion, Joshua’s fight against Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 stands out.
"In my view, Anthony Joshua’s best moment is definitely the fight with Wladimir Klitschko. He boxed well, got up from the canvas, and showed a lot of heart. So, yes," Lewis remarked.
The Joshua vs. Klitschko fight took place on April 29, 2017, at Wembley Stadium in London, UK, with the WBA Super, IBF, and vacant IBO heavyweight titles (over 90.7 kg) on the line. Joshua knocked Klitschko down in the fifth round, but then hit the canvas himself in the sixth. Ultimately, in the 11th round, Joshua secured a TKO victory.
The bout against Joshua marked the final fight of Klitschko's professional career, finishing with a record of 64 wins, 53 by knockout, and 5 losses.
