Former undisputed heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has named the boxer he considers the true “boogeyman” of modern boxing — a fighter everyone will try to avoid.

“Benavidez! That’s my guy. He’s a real contender. In a way, he’s the true boogeyman of boxing.

You know who could actually give him a real fight? I don’t see anyone who can really compete with him. He’s that good.

Bivol? I’m still picking David,” Lewis said.

David Benavidez (30-0, 24 KOs) is set to face Anthony Yarde (26-3, 24 KOs) on November 22 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
