Former Irish heavyweight boxer (over 90,7 kg) Kevin McBride warned blogger and boxer Jake Paul (9-1, 6 KOs) ahead of his fight against former undisputed world champion Mike Tyson.
"“Keep your f****** hands up and watch that he doesn’t spit out his mouthpiece and if he does, tell the ref. You don’t know what Mike Tyson is going to do, he’s a fearsome man. It takes balls to get in the ring with Tyson even in his fifties, whether you’re a YouTuber or a fighter, it takes big balls, Tyson is no joke.
When you’re a fighter like Tyson, I can tell you he’s going in there to win and to take care of business. He does not want to look back and think he let Jake Paul off the hook. He’s going in there to win and Paul will need to be on his best form to survive.
I can tell from the media that Tyson has done so far that he wants to win, it’s in his blood, the competition will never leave him," said McBride.
Kevin McBride was the last opponent in Mike Tyson's professional career. The boxers met on June 11, 2006. In the sixth round, Tyson began to fight dirty: he attempted to twist McBride's arm, then was penalized two points for attacking with his head down, causing a cut on the Irishman. At the end of the round, Kevin threw Mike to the ground. The American managed to get up, but did not return for the 7th round.
The fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson is scheduled for July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The event will be streamed on Netflix.
