Erislandy Lara Swiftly Knocks Out Michael Zerafa to Defend Title

On March 30th, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, USA, WBA middleweight (up to 72,5 kg) champion Erislandy Lara (30-3-3, 18 KOs) successfully defended his title for the second time against Australian Michael Zerafa (31-5, 19 KOs).

The clash concluded with Lara securing a victory through technical knockout in the second round.

Lara clinched the WBA title on May 1, 2021, facing off against Thomas Lamanna (37-5-1, 16 KOs) and winning by knockout. Zerafa hadn't entered the ring since November 2022, when he won by unanimous decision against Danilo Creati (8-1-1, 1 KO).
