Lapin cleverly trolled Fury after cancellation of the fight

Sergey Lapin, who manages WBO, WBA, IBO, and IBF world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk's team, mocked Tyson Fury, the WBC titleholder, after the news of their possible unification fight's cancellation.

He took to his Instagram stories to share two posts trolling the British boxer.

"This is the fight that the fans of Belly Fury have been waiting for. It will be [the] bomb," Lapin wrote, adding a poster for Fury's fourth fight with Chisora.

In a second post, Fury was trolled again with an edited image that referred to him as "Gypsy Queen."

"THE GYPSY QUEEN. Now the queen is in her place!" wrote Lapin.

On the night of December 4, 2022, the "Gypsy King" triumphed over his compatriot Derek Chisora with a knockout in their third match. Their first bout in 2011 resulted in Tyson winning by unanimous decision, and in 2014, Derek withdrew from the fight after the tenth round.

Originally scheduled for April 29 at Wembley stadium in London, the title fight for the absolute world champion between Usyk and Fury fell through due to their inability to agree on contract terms. Recently, Usyk cancelled his training camp and promoter Alex Krassyuk confirmed the fight's cancellation.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr plans to prioritize the mandatory belt defense and anticipates a return to the ring in June-July. His opponent could be British Daniel Dubois, the mandatory contender for the WBA line.
