Lamont Rouch Sr. Denies Cancellation of Fight with Gervonta

Lamont Rouch Sr., father and trainer of WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Rouch Jr. (25-1-1, 10 KOs), stated that they are still preparing for the upcoming fight against WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis (30-0, 28 KOs).

Earlier, Gervonta posted on social media that the fight would be canceled, but Rouch Sr. has not confirmed this information.

"We haven’t heard anything about that. As far as I know, the fight is still on. Nothing has changed on our side," said Rouch Sr.

The fight between Gervonta Davis and Lamont Rouch is scheduled to take place on March 1 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, USA.

In June, Gervonta knocked out Frank Martin, while Lamont defeated Fergal McCrory.
