Krassyuk reveals how Fury could have gotten a cut in sparring

Ukrainian promoter Oleksandr Krassyuk shared insights into how the British WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury could have sustained a cut, leading to the postponement of his clash against Ukrainian WBA, WBO, IBF, IBO, and The Ring super heavyweight champion, Oleksandr Usyk:

"There are many questions arising. Firstly, it's impossible to get such a cut in a boxing helmet with 20-ounce gloves. Therefore, an adjustment was made to this concept - as if the cut was inflicted with an elbow. Excuse me, but with such a gap, such a thickness of the helmet... How does one get an elbow in there to hit the eyebrow, especially the one that can be cut? Too many coincidences. In my opinion, I cannot confirm it with anything; it's more like a feeling. I would believe in something much easier for which I could find much more evidence. It seems like Fury just neglected his sparring, as he always did.

He sparred without a helmet, got a left hook because in the photo where there is a cut, you can see this huge bruise around the eye. The left hook landed, twisted, and then tore his brow, which was already damaged in previous fights, including the one with Ngannou, where there was also a cut.

And then you can't present such a straightforward concept to the public, not say: 'Sorry, here's this historic bout, supposedly the fight of the century, and I forgot to wear my helmet or apply some ointment to my sparring partners' gloves, didn't grease my brow. That's how it happened, let's forget all your millions that you've already spent. Let's reschedule when it's convenient for me.' It's not a very working concept. So, they built such a theory for us," said Krasyuk in a comment for Sport Arena.

The Usyk vs. Fury fight was rescheduled from February 17 to May 18 due to the British boxer's injury.
