Krassyuk: "Usyk Did Not Break His Jaw"

Promoter and CBDO of Ready To Fight, Alexander Krassyuk, addressed the rumors regarding a suspected jaw fracture of the undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) after his fight against Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).

"Oleksandr did not break his jaw. The doctors advised Usyk not to attend the post-fight press conference and to go to the hospital, but he insisted on speaking with the journalists first and then went to the hospital. It is a minor injury, and he will need about a week to recover," said Krassyuk.

The fight between Usyk and Fury lasted all 12 rounds and ended with the Ukrainian winning by split decision. Oleksandr Usyk is the first undisputed heavyweight champion since November 13, 1999, when Lennox Lewis defeated Evander Holyfield in their rematch.
