Krassyuk: "If There Are No Problems, Create Some"

Promoter and CBDO of Ready To Fight, Alexander Krassyuk shared insights from working with Eddie Hearn (Matchroom), Bob Arum (Top Rank), and Frank Warren (Queensberry).

"Subjectively speaking, I prefer Hearn. He's from our generation. Warren and Arum are definitely old school. With Hearn, everything has always been clear. We never had any disputes. We made a contract in 5 minutes on a little piece of paper. Discussed everything, wrote it all down. Even remembered Khyzhniak. That if he goes pro, we'll think about it together. Then the lawyers handled the rest. We always found mutual understanding. Those were easy, friendly interactions. Never any problems. As for Queensberry... Frank Warren isn't much involved in the business anymore. It’s more his sons, George and Francis. I've known them for a long time. Wonderful friendly relations. But the policy they conduct has its peculiarities. There cannot be no problems. If there are no problems, they need to be created. That's their principle. Their methodology. It doesn't mean they are bad or good. It’s just how they work. Always. If there's no problem—it will be created. They'll discuss it, mull over it, walk around it. Solved this problem—immediately create a new one. Constant turmoil. Extremely hard work. The toughest. I'm not sure it's all intentional. It's somewhat... subconscious... Probably something like that. Just routine. But I never had a smooth experience with the Warrens, like with Eddie Hearn. With Arum, there wasn't such 'deep' cooperation. Just boxed in his show. Simple: agreed—payment came—we arrived—fought. All beautiful. Arum’s company has a huge staff. They organize everything. And he leads. He’s behind the strategy. He doesn’t deal with operations. Except maybe with the numbers," said Krassyuk.
