Egis Klimas, manager of three-time undisputed Heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk, has shared the fighter’s plans regarding his future in the sport.
“I’m very pleased with his decision to continue boxing. He wants to stay active and keep performing at this level. It’s his own decision. He feels there is still a lot of strength in him and, as he said after his last fight: ‘This is just the beginning.’
I have never heard him say that he is tired, that he lacks motivation, or that he doesn’t want to do this anymore. He has always been in favor of continuing in this sport,” said Klimas.
Usyk last fought in the summer of 2025, stopping Daniel Dubois. His return to the ring is expected in 2026.
