Egis Klimas, manager of Ukrainian lightweight fighter Vasiliy Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs), shared his thoughts on the career of his client, considering him one of the best boxers in history.
"You see, there's a lot of negativity and envy towards him. I think Loma is one of the greatest fighters in history, I would even say. Perhaps he's too ambitious. Perhaps he wants to achieve almost the impossible.
I'm not talking about the officiating because it has been terrible for Loma, especially in the two fights against Haney. Speaking of the fight with Teofimo, it was close, but against Haney, it was a disaster," Klimas said.
Vasiliy Lomachenko's next match will be against IBO lightweight champion George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) on May 12th in Perth, Australia.
