Don King Turns Down Jake Paul’s Title-Fight Offer

According to insider Salvador Rodríguez, influencer-boxer Jake Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) proposed that WBC champion-in-recess Noel Mikaelian (26-3, 11 KOs) let him step in to face Badou Jack (29-3-3, 17 KOs).

The WBC has purse bids set for Tuesday for the mandatory bout between Jack and Mikaelian. Promoter Don King rejected Paul’s proposal, so the purse bid stands.

Back in early May, Badou Jack had already met Mikaelian and won by split decision. Mikaelian had filled in for injured cruiserweight contender Ryan Rozicki.
