The absolute lightweight world champion Devin Haney commented on a possible fight between the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk and the ex-world champion Deontay Wilder.
“[Usyk's fight with Wilder] is excellent. It's a great era in boxing, with champions fighting each other. I am proud to be performing in this period."
"Usyk vs. Wilder is a tough confrontation. Deontay has a power that can turn the tide of a fight. But Usyk is an extremely gifted boxer," Haney emphasized.
In his last fight for the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO World Heavyweight Championship, Oleksandr Usyk defeated Anthony Joshua. According to the results of all twelve rounds, Alexander defeated Joshua by a separate decision of the judges: 115-113, 116-112 and 113-115.
The Ukrainian said that his next opponent could be ex-world champion Deontay Wilder. The fight can take place in the USA. In addition, Usyk plans to watch the fight between Wilder and Robert Helenius on October 8 in Brooklyn.
