In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, WBO, IBF, WBA super heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) trained on an exercise bike next to the legendary Evander Holyfield. The training video was published on Instagram by a member of the Ukrainian team, Serhiy Lapin
Four-time heavyweight world champion Evander Holyfield shared his expectations for the Usyk-Joshua rematch.
"The most important thing is not to get hit. The art of boxing is not to get hit. The loser in the first fight has to ask himself what did I do wrong. So Joshua needs to learn from his mistakes. Look at what he did wrong and correct it. But he he shouldn't rely on voices either. Everyone advises him to be more aggressive with Usyk, but it's not easy at all. It's one thing to give advice, it's another to get into the ring and make your opponent dance to your tune.
It should be noted that Holyfield, like Usyk, became the absolute champion in the first heavyweight. Then Evander also moved up to the heavyweight division and became the world champion.
As for Usyk, he is not so big, it is important for him to avoid blows. When I moved up to the heavyweight division, I understood that all the opponents would be bigger and more powerful," Holyfield said.
The rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua will take place in Jeddah on August 20. At stake in this fight will be the WBO, WBA, IBF and IBO titles, which the Ukrainian took from the Briton last year. In addition, athletes will fight for the title of champion according to the version of "The Ring" magazine.
