Ukrainian lightweight boxer Yaroslav Khartsyz defeated Pole Maryan Wesolowski in his professional debut. The fight took place as part of the Knockout Boxing Night boxing show in Poland.
From the very beginning of the fight, the Ukrainian took the initiative and kept the opponent in the corner of the ring. Already in the second round, the referee stopped the fight, awarding victory to Yaroslav by technical knockout.
At the same event, Ukrainian welterweight boxer Vasyl Chebotar (13-0, 5 KOs) defeated Argentine Jose Luis Castillo (10-8-1, 7 KOs). The Ukrainian also knocked out his opponent in the second round.
During his amateur career, 25-year-old Khartsyz became the champion of Ukraine twice, and also won a silver award once. Yaroslav participated in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo as part of the Ukrainian team.
