Keyshawn Files Request: Wants to Become WBO No. 1

According to BoxingScene, former lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis has filed a request with the WBO to be recognized as the No. 1 contender for their super lightweight title.

This could lead to a fight against Alfredo Santiago for the interim belt. The full title is currently held by Teofimo Lopez.

In his last fight, Davis defeated Denys Berinchyk to claim the WBO lightweight title, but later lost the belt after failing to make weight for his first defense against Edwin De Los Santos. The fight was cancelled, and Davis admitted he was unsure about continuing his career and planned to take a break.

The American is currently 26 years old, he's record: 13-0, 9 KO.
