WBO lightweight champion Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KOs) has made it clear that he’s open to facing fellow American Lamont Roach (25-1-2, 10 KOs) in the ring.
"He’s definitely fought his way into position to challenge me. If you give it your all, you deserve a shot at the world champions. I’d love to fight Lamont Roach," Davis said.
On February 14, Keyshawn Davis knocked out Denys Berinchyk in the fourth round to claim the WBO title. Meanwhile, on March 1, Roach and Gervonta Davis fought to a majority draw (D-MD 12), leaving the division without a clear frontrunner.
