Former welterweight champion Kell Brook shared his thoughts on a possible bout between British ex-heavyweight champions Tyson Fury (34–2–1, 24 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28–4, 25 KOs).
“I think this fight will happen. They’re at the stage of their careers where they’ll meet each other for big money.
I’m picking Fury. I see him controlling the fight. This is boxing. You’re only as good as your last fight. Right now, Joshua could pull off an exciting win. Then everyone would say that AJ is back.
I believe Fury can offer more than Joshua. Tyson has been doing this his whole life—he can box, he can do it all. Don’t get me wrong, Joshua is also a serious athlete; he knows how to punch. This is heavyweight boxing, but I lean towards Fury,” Brook stated.
On December 21, Tyson Fury lost by unanimous decision to Oleksandr Usyk. In September, Anthony Joshua was knocked out in the 5th round by Daniel Dubois.
