Keith Thurman Talks Showdowns with Crawford and Spence

Thirty-six-year-old former Welterweight world champion Keith Thurman laid out the opponents he most wants to face.

A fight with Spence, a fight with Crawford—those are the match-ups of my generation, and I think most fans understand why we need to make them. They’re truly special.

Everyone already knows my style is tougher for Crawford than Spence’s is. I’d love to share the ring with him at least once. We never crossed paths in the amateurs, so we ought to do it in the pros.

I believe we can put these fights together. It would be great. I’m holding my ground and waiting for the contracts. Hopefully we’ll have something really exciting to share with you soon,” Thurman told MillCity Boxing.

In March, Keith Thurman (31-1, 23 KOs) returned from a three-year layoff and stopped Brock Jarvis by third-round TKO.

On 13 September Terence Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) is scheduled to face undisputed Super-Middleweight champion Saúl Álvarez.

Errol Spence (28-1, 22 KOs) has not fought since July 2023, when he was stopped by Crawford in nine rounds.
