Kambosos Finds Joshua vs. Ngannou Pleasing: "It Was Enjoyable"

Former undisputed lightweight champion (up to 135 lbs) Australian George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) shared his thoughts on the victory of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) over former UFC champion Francis Ngannou (0-2).

"It was enjoyable. I really like Ngannou. He came from the UFC and did it. I love the UFC guys. Of course, I'm close with many of them, but there's competition between us because we're fighters, but it's different things. So, seeing this, I thought: 'Okay, stay in your sphere, and we'll stay in ours.' There's that. Maybe if Joshua had stepped into the cage, it would have been a different story unless he didn't land a right hand again. But if Ngannou started kicking and elbowing, grabbing him, it would have been a completely different story," said Kambosos. Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the 2nd round of the fight, which took place on March 8 in Saudi Arabia.

Anthony discussed whether he expected such a quick victory. Kambosos is set to box against Vasyl Lomachenko on May 12 for the IBF lightweight title.
