Australian IBO lightweight titleholder (up to 61.2 kg) George Kambosos (21-2, 10 KOs) commented on the upcoming fight against the three-division world champion Vasyl Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs).
"There's no pressure on me. It's all on him. His career is nearing its end. Losing to a guy like Kambosos would destroy his chances of making it into the Hall of Fame. But it could lead me to the Hall of Fame. All the pressure is on him. Sure, there's a little pressure on me too, but nothing new.
This isn't my first big fight. We've had big fights before. What I bring with my artillery will win this fight. The Ukrainian style he has creates big opportunities for my style. I am very explosive, very sharp, and very fast. Everything I have will work against a guy like Lomachenko. I'm going out there to beat him.
I saw that Lomachenko is not the same after he had a good time when he arrived in Perth. I know the consequences of his fight with Haney. I know it's still in his head," said Kambosos.
The fight between George Kambosos and Vasyl Lomachenko will take place on May 12 in Perth, Australia.
