Oleksandr Usyk, the reigning WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight title holder, recently weighed in on the prospects of his former opponent Anthony Joshua. The Ukrainian boxer defeated Joshua twice in their past matchups.
According to Usyk, Joshua still has the potential to compete for championship titles.
"Anthony Joshua should not be disheartened by his losses to me. He is a skilled boxer and a great person. He still has a chance to reclaim the heavyweight world champion title," Usyk was quoted as saying by The Guardian.
It is worth mentioning that Usyk secured a unanimous decision victory over Joshua in September 2021, stripping him of his championship titles, followed by a split decision win in the rematch in August 2022.
