Ben Davison, trainer of British Heavyweight Moses Itauma, has spoken about the possibility of his fighter facing Jermaine Franklin, Filip Hrgovic, or Anthony Joshua.
“Franklin and Hrgovic are the names on everyone’s lips. They’re not interested, and that’s the case with almost everyone, so it’s difficult. It’s hard to find opponents. They’re not interested, they don’t want to fight.
They just want so much money to get in the ring with him that it’s hard to find opponents. If we can find someone like that — we’re all for it. That’s what we’re aiming for.
But if not, then I think we’ll have to take a step back and try again, maybe in the new year,” Davison said.
“A fight against Joshua will not happen. There is great respect between them. I don’t think it’s necessary,” Davison added.
Ben currently trains both Anthony Joshua and Moses Itauma.
