Former heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) is gearing up for a fight with UFC superstar Francis Ngannou (0-1). During their stare-down, AJ quickly countered hints that the Brit would be knocked out on March 8th.
At a DAZN Boxing meeting, Joshua claimed his power is underestimated, to which Ngannou seemingly suggested that his chin is the reason fans fear for him these days.
Joshua: "You know what? People underestimate me a lot."
Ngannou: "It's not underestimating you, it's the tendency to get knocked out."
Joshua: "Who knocked me out like that? When was I unconscious?"
Ngannou: "That's not what I mean. I mean that we'll both be looking for the knockout. I don't think it's a problem because I'll try to knock him out if I get the chance, and I think he'll do the same."
Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou will face off in a match on Friday, March 8th, live on both DAZN and Sky Sports Box Office, headlining an event that also features another heavyweight bout, where Zhang Zhilei (26-1-1, 21 KOs) will defend his "interim" WBO title against Joseph Parker (34-3, 23 KOs).
