British boxer Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs) has spoken out about a potential fight with the winner of the rematch between WBA, WBC, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion (over 90.7 kg) Oleksandr Usyk (22-0, 14 KOs) and Tyson Fury (34-1-1, 24 KOs).
“If they call me to fight them, 100 percent. That’s what I do – fight. I’ll be ready. It would be an honor for me to face either of them.
I’m not fixated on Usyk or Fury. I’ll watch the fight. I think Usyk will win, and I’d like Usyk to win.
Let me get through Dubois, and then we’ll see. I’m ready to fight any opponent. This will be my 13th world title fight. That means I’m ready to face anyone at this level or coming up to it. We’re all here to get the job done. We’re all here as warriors to fight each other,” Joshua said.
On September 21, Anthony Joshua will face fellow Brit Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs). The winner will likely challenge the victor of the Usyk vs. Fury rematch, set to take place on December 21.
